It was built by Alaaddin Keykubat I in the first half of the 13th century. It was rebuilt by Suleiman the Magnificent using the old materials. Also known as Alaaddin Mosque, Kale Mosque, Orta Hisar Mosque; plan, type of structure, dome and arch shape, stone and wooden workmanship is dated to the 16th century. The mosque is the main place of the mosque, which is divided into three by cross arches and covered with three small domes. The domes are made of bricks and the walls are partly built with bricks and partly with square stones. A minaret was added to the north-west corner of the harem and a vaulted cistern was built across the north-east corner. Next to the cistern there is a covered ablution.
